Thunderbird High Solids Sandable Filler Sealer is a high-build professional finish designed to save time and effort by filling wood grain and imperfections quickly. This half-pint container is the ideal size for smaller projects, such as building custom bows or finishing arrows, where precision and high-quality results are paramount.
This filler sealer has been specially formulated for archery applications, but works great for many other applications as well. This products high solids content gives a fast, excellent build on open or porous wood grains. It is an excellent sealer and filler for the riser section of a bow. Brush on application. Not recommended for the limb section due to lack of flexibility.
Specially formulated to work with our two part epoxy to reduce finishing time and production time on your bows. You can move quickly right from filling to spraying epoxy on your bows immediately after sealer is set and sanded. Do NOT wipe down or “clean” with solvents (acetone, denatured alcohol, etc.) AFTER applying, drying and sanding on bow as it will have an undesirable chemical reaction.

Application Tips
For the best results, apply 1–2 coats over raw or stained wood, allowing each to dry before sanding with a fine-grit paper. Once the grain is filled and leveled, follow with 1–2 coats of a compatible topcoat for a professional-grade appearance.
Important Notes
Surface Prep: Before applying, the bow’s surface should be sanded and wiped clean with denatured alcohol or acetone. Do NOT use lacquer thinner, mineral spirits, or paint thinner for cleaning the raw wood. Do NOT wipe down with solvents (acetone, denatured alcohol, etc.) AFTER application.
Safety: Always wear a mask that removes vapors when applying finishes, as they can be harmful if inhaled.
Application: The product can be brushed on or sprayed.
